Psalms Magazine written by Clinton allandro Pusey ..... mouth stripe Why so many musical performers always act out there life experiences in the words of there songs, arranging Them In A Dream State, like manor where five to ten related experience into one song.
As we put the focus on the Reggae recording artist and the Environment of Jamaica where dis tradition is sow and harvested. Reggae, a word UTTA [spoking] by the RASTA in Jamaica used in the 1960's for the English word [raw].....meaning untainted. But was the sole word use by Rastas for and untainted challace....[waterpipe,piece pipe, bong.], but with so many of the artist practicing Rasta beliefs the words went into the songs and the song became life, and life became reggae history, raw facts. Reggae music became the music of Jamaica because of the beliefs of the artist who is an every day Worker, Hussoler, Gunman, Policeman, it became protestor tool against governmemtal oppression through the means of Politics, education tool for the massives, telling of pass traditional history forgotting in transition to the new world we endeavored and the real reason, to undo lies that are giving to us every day in some form or the other. For some of The artists in Reggae, off stage background would reads like a war story. One such story is the artist call CHUCK TURNER who back in the 80's was one of Jamaicas leading singing voice, with singles likeÉ top ranking a 84 release, was his first single which had miner success then his second release I need you [adopted] in 87 went #1 for several months in Jamaica, new York, California and England. Just to name a few selections Runaround girl[88], Tears[89] His successes in the music arena was no fluke, because of an incredible voice range, he was one of the major players to move singing back to the four front in Reggae music for a while capture by the DJs starting with Yellowman sudden burst of #1 hit releases after Bob Marley death in 1981, which left the world with a thirst for the sounds. Jamaicans was forever evolving the sound and the rest of the world was getting hook on the dance hall sounds of the evolving Music.
Reggae had a great ambassador Bob Marley, which in its self is another war story well documented. Just to say that chuck turner was a great singer is an under statement, his ability to play different instruments, consider a great drummer at that time, guitarist, bass player, his musical knowellage was incredible. But with all of that, he still had to live in the Jamaican environment of gunshot flying past your ears and the danger of getting caught out of your area without some protection. Most the studios are located in the war zones. ,Chuck Turner recorded for many of Jamaica record producers, JAMMY'S was the hottest located in the burning zone originally name Waterhouse Nick name Firehouse because of the political enpurities. He strive through all of the turmoils And he kept as much of a focus as possible. Made it out of Jamaica in one piece tour USA, Canada and Europe,

living in the USA working on a world tour consisting of 40 USA states, Japan, most of England, France, West Germany, Netherlands, Swiss land, Finland, Africa, south America and Australia just to name a few, But then one New York city night, in a blink of a eye bromm, bromm, bromm was the sounds in the air, outside of Manhattans most popular clubs, Friday nights very hot night for Reggae in the city everybody comes then between 2.30 to 3.00 Am club personnel run from there post outside to inside and close the doors, people was asking who had gotten shot then someone said it THE SINGER CHUCK TURNER, which brought a praying vibes in the club that night, everyone in there own way was hoping he would be alright. If father is your one fair on the earth, then miracle is not a myth cause you seesigns, his pass had caught up with him, but for chuck turner he had the father love and that will make him again shine, since the shooting in 1989 he has been rehabilitating in USA and sometimes Jamaica, he was paralyze for a while movement limited, he had lost some function of speech, it was a good five years before he would even step into a studio to sing, but as father would have it he step into the one I was working, Rhythm One studio in Jamaica Queens, new York, that was September 1994 and were into February of 97, his vocals his physical ability are 97.7 degrees and growing. New Release are on there way. Its a glorious sound a it shall be heard again, FOR ANYTHING FATHER BLESS NO ONE CURSE............
