At the time it was the move, that move the world, if you was of the 60s generation morally you felt obligated to participate in a government whose main reason for existing is oppression,especially when it is clear as black & white yea*** but more so right & wrong. Me and a couple of my friends plan to go to manhattan for the rally that was being plan for MANDELA freedom from 27 years as a political prisoner in South Africa. I have live in USA for over 25 years and there is only a few times, countable on one hand, five fingers, that I have seen not heard seen with my own eyes, people coming together for the right reason no matter what race, color or country code, we all felt the same feeling without being told, right is right wrong is wrong, and the oppreesion of Nelson Mandela and South Africa. This rally was the vitamin the hope everyone needed in the world. There seven of us heading for manhattan from the suburbs of three different racial makeup with one agenda celabrate mandela freedom and arrival to the city.I saw muggers giving back what they just stole, to mandela's rally workers, which to me was very moving considering this was new york city, beggers, homeless, even cops. For that day in harlem new york all was welcome,I saw cops and drug dealers working for one common cause PEACE. Everyone pass there money through the air it was unbeleavable this could happen in new york city, celebrities, muggers ,beggers, drug dealers,working class people, cops, politican Iwas in awe.
